Your Backcountry Base in Furano, in the Heart of Hokkaido

Nestled in the powder paradise of Furano and Kamikawa, in Central Hokkaido, Japan, Yukiumi Hokkaido is your all-season base for mountain adventure and cultural connection. Founded by two Spaniards who’ve called Hokkaido home for over five years, we live for the mountains—and for sharing them with like-minded riders, explorers, and creatives.

Ski Furano, Kamikawa & Daisetsuzan: Backcountry Japan at Its Best

Furano sits in the heart of Hokkaido, where storms dry out as they cross the island and leave some of the lightest powder in Japan. From our Furano lodge you are about 25 minutes from Tokachidake, Furanodake and Furano Ski Resort, and our Kamikawa base opens up Kurodake and the north side of Daisetsuzan National Park.

Whether you want to ski Hokkaido for the first time or you are back for more backcountry Japan, we guide skiers and snowboarders across the mountains of Central Hokkaido: Tokachidake, Furanodake, Asahidake, Kurodake and quieter spots in between.

Ride, Onsen, Eat, Sleep & Repeat.

Ride deep powder, soak in the onsen, share good food, and rest well. At Yukiumi, every day follows a simple routine with the perfect balance.
