Other guided options
- Powder Tour with Private Photographer: ¥80,000 per day for up to 4 people, as an add-on to a guided day.

What drives the price of a backcountry guide
- Group size. A private day is priced per group, so it gets much cheaper per person with four.
- Transport. Our day tours include a private driver, so you don’t need a car or to drive on snowy Hokkaido roads.
- Guide qualifications and ratio. Safety training and small groups cost more, and they are worth it.
- Lodging and logistics. Week-long tours bundle the lodge, airport transfers and daily transport, which is often cheaper than booking it all separately.
Is a guide worth the money?
On a short trip, almost always. A guide puts you in the right zone for the conditions every single day, which is the difference between an average trip and the best powder of your life, and it is the safest way to ski terrain you don’t know. If you are unsure, read do you need a guide in Hokkaido?
